Lymphoedema is the long-term abnormality which is characterized by swelling of body parts especially arms and legs. This swelling happens when lymph vessels blocked due to which these vessels cannot drain the lymphatic fluid properly and cause swelling in the associated parts.

It is recognized by severe inflammation, itchiness, pain and restricted motion. For curing this inflammatory disorder exercise, different compressions and suitable drugs are recommended. If the situation gets worse surgery may be used.

The main symptom of lymphoedema is swelling in all or part of a limb or another part of the body. It can be difficult to fit into clothes, and jewellery and watches can feel tight.

At first, the swelling may come and go. It may get worse during the day and go down overnight. Without treatment, it will usually become more severe and persistent.
