Even in the current deadly condition due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Pakistan, at least 40 percent of Pakistanis seem to refuse to have a vaccine if it becomes available.
According to the survey conducted by the global market research firm, Ipsos, at least 40 percent of Pakistanis have refused to get the COVID-19 vaccine if it becomes available.

As per the shared details, the survey was conducted from 2nd December to 6th December, showed that the percentage of people saying they would vaccinate themselves has decreased from 62 percent in November to 60 percent in December. But the acceptance level was better than August when only 37 percent were willing to get vaccinated.
The following are some of the most significant insights gleaned from the survey:
- 60 percent of the respondents said that they would prefer to be vaccinated
- 22 percent of the respondents were against vaccination in general
- 34 percent of respondents are worried about the potential side-effects of vaccines
- 15 percent of Pakistanis believe a Covid-19 vaccine would not be effective
- 23 percent of respondents simply don’t want to get vaccinated because they believe that they are not at risk of contracting the viral disease
- 50 percent of respondents are unaware of the ongoing vaccine trials
- 21 percent of respondents blame the federal government for the spread of the coronavirus (down from 35 percent back in October)
- 40 percent of respondents blame themselves and their failure to follow SOPs for the spread of the coronavirus (up from 34 percent in October)
However, it is good news that more than half of the population of the country is ready to be vaccinated. Some of those who refuse to have the COVID-19 vaccine is their inefficiency to understand the dreadful situation that may cause even drastic condition.
