In order to eradicate poverty, Pakistan and China are collaborating by establishing the platform.
The report issued on Wednesday revealed that Pakistan and China are going to establish a platform for collaboration so that poverty may be eradicated. A meeting was held in this regard where Dr. Sania Nishtar, PM’s Special Assistant, the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong, and The Secretary of PASSD Muhammad Ali Shahzada were present.
Moreover, a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also discussed by the officials of both countries. The MoU is now being framed between the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division (PASSD) and the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China.

PM’s aide, while congratulating the Chinese government for their significant achievement of alleviating lifting 770 million people out of poverty in China within 40 years, said: “We are working on final details of the MoU, which will provide both countries with an opportunity to capitalize on sharing of experiences in poverty eradication. The collaboration will enable Pakistan to benefit from China’s experience in poverty eradication and to disseminate lessons from Ehsaas, which is a unique multisectoral approach to tackling poverty.”
The PM’s aide also commented on the Nong Rong appointment as Ambassador of China. She recalled the importance of CPEC for the eradication of poverty.
“Not only is CPEC a remarkable demonstration of our time-tested friendship, but it is also an ideal milieu for socio-economic development which will contribute to uplifting people and graduating them out of poverty,” Nishtar added.

However, a series of events for celebrating the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties of Pak-China relationship was started on Tuesday. Both countries are enthusiastic to plan more than 100 activities to celebrate the 70 years long diplomatic relations of Pakistan and China.
