The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced LLB, LLM, and Ph.D. scholarships for students from Balochistan.
According to the issued notification by HEC in this regard, students from Balochistan to apply for LLB, LLM, and Ph.D. scholarships have been invited to study at local as well as foreign institutions. Those, who hold a domicile or local certificate of Balochistan are eligible to apply for the scholarships to pursue Indigenous LLB (5 years), Indigenous LLM, Foreign LLM, and Foreign Ph.D. studies. Also, students have to first fulfill the eligibility criteria to apply for the respective category.

Applications are invited from the applicants having Domicile/Local Certificate of Balochistan Province for the award of Scholarships for law studies in the following categories:

The last date for submission of online applications Scholarship is Thursday, March 18, 2021
Students can apply through HEC’s e-portal (hec.gov.pk).
Moreover, according to the eligibility criteria, the applicant must have to obtain at least 50% marks (Accumulative Test Score) in the aptitude test. Above age limit of 25 will be ineligible to apply in LLB and the age limit for LLM is 35, whereas Ph.D. students’ maximum age limit to apply is 35.
Furthermore, LLB applicants should have 12 years of education with at least 50% marks in the intermediate or equivalent examination to apply for LLB scholarship. While applying for the LLM and PhD studies scholarship, applicants should possess LLB and LLM from HEC-recognized, degree-awarding institutions with at least 50% marks obtained in the bachelor’s programme.

15-20 percent of the scholarships are reserved for the children of victims’ families of the August 2016 blast in Quetta.
