A man from Karachi has been detained for unlawfully distributing Covid-19 vaccine dosages and giving illegal home vaccination services.
The guy identified as Mohammad Ali was found with disposable syringes, blank vaccination cards, vaccine doses, and specimen collecting swabs.
The provincial drug inspector has filed a complaint against Ali under the Drug Act, and he will appear in court later.

According to the first information report (FIR), the complainant, provincial drug inspector for South district Ghulam Ali, said he had received information from “reliable sources” that certain person had stolen Covid-19 vaccines from a vaccination centre and was allegedly administering illegal jabs to residents at their homes in return for a payment.
After the Sindh Drug Authority got information regarding vaccine doses being embezzled from designated vaccination centres and sold privately, Ali, who claimed to work for a private company, was tracked down.
He was apprehended in an SDA raid when Preedy police officers set up a trap for him by inviting him to a restaurant for a deal.
The raid took place in the presence of Dr. Sohail Raza Sher, Covid’s Sindh focal person.
Ali told the authorities that his boss provided the pills and that he had returned all of his earnings to him.
He was charging Rs 15,000 per dosage for the Pfizer vaccine and Rs 4,500 for the Sinopharm vaccine.
Both of these vaccines are prohibited in the country. Sputnik is the only item that can be purchased.
