UAE national carrier Emirates has again extended flight suspension from Pakistan and other South Asian countries till August 7.
Emirates, in its latest advisory stated: “In line with UAE government directives, Emirates will be suspending the carriage of passengers from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka to Dubai until 07 August 2021.”
In compliance with UAE government directives, Emirates has further prolonged the flight suspension from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka to Dubai from the previous date of July 28 to August 7, according to the airline’s latest alert released.
Passengers who linked through India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, or Sri Lanka in the previous 14 days will not be allowed to travel to the UAE from any other point.

Exemptions apply to UAE nationals, Golden Visa holders, and members of diplomatic missions who follow updated COVID 19 protocols.
“If your flight has been cancelled or is being impacted by route suspensions as a result of COVID 19 limitations, you do not need to contact us right away to reschedule. Simply keep your Emirates ticket and contact us or your booking office when flights resume to make new travel arrangements,” the statement continued.
Last month as per Gulf News, the country extended the ban on flights from Pakistan and 13 other nations until July 21, citing a Notice to Airmen.
India, Nigeria, South Africa, Liberia, Namibia, Sierra Leone, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Zambia, Vietnam, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka are among the other countries.
Cargo flights, as well as business and charter flights, would be exempted, according to the federal aviation authority’s notification.
Dubai, the most populous of the UAE’s seven emirates, is a commercial and tourism destination. The UAE’s seven emirates have implemented some of their own COVID-19 regulations throughout the pandemic.
