A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on tourism between Pakistan and China has been signed and forge partnership with travel agencies to encourage tourism in Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Moin ul Haque conversed, “We are to launch a Chinese-language website called Discover Batie (also known as Discover Pakistan) to popularise Pakistan’s rich repertoire of culture and tourism resources across China”.
Pakistan enjoys a widespread array of landmass comprising valleys and mountains and healthy culture and civilization, and that Pakistan as China is friendly to Chinese tourists and can be an appealing station to international tourists as the country have started up relevant tourist organizations and committees, auspicious policies, visa assistance, and tourism enlargement and recuperation.
The ambassador made this impact at the 2021 World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit and World Conference on Tourism Cooperation and Development which was conducted in Beijing on Saturday.
Moreover, a 2020 report by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) says that tourism helps in the economic development of the country as it contributes between 6-7 percent of GDP in Pakistan and offers a little about two million jobs

Unfortunately, the Covid-19 epidemic has critically affected the tourism sector in Pakistan and the rest of the world, according to China Economic Net (CEN).
Emphasizing on the importance of the revival of the tourism sector, Ambassador Haque pointed out that the tourism sector should deliver benign, liable, and attractive tourism by reconsidering tourism products and facilities as new tourism patterns occur.
He further encouraged that with the advancement of new technologies countries should also seek to develop smart tourism and struggle hard to develop virtual or digital tourism resources.
Furthermore, it is taken into consideration that Ambassador Haque has designed a task force in the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing to revolutionize Pakistan’s tourism sector
“I want to emphasize that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has established a close partnership with WTCF and UNWTO.
I propose the possibility of preparing a programme of trilateral cooperation between our organizations for the development of tourism in the context of the pandemic” noted Vladimir Norov, Secretary-General of SCO.
