Sindh allows businesses to remain open till 10 pm, ends work from home condition

Considering the decreasing phase of COVID-19 cases in Sindh, the provincial government relieved some restrictions related to coronavirus. According to a notice issued on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 the Sindh Home Department has allowed markets, shops, and other businesses to remain open till 10 pm but with strict obedience to COVID-19 SOPs all over the province. 

Furthermore, markets will still remain close on Sundays.

Medical facilities, pharmacies, grocery stores, and other essential services have been permitted to stay open round the clock, seven days a week. 

Sindh lays out restrictions for other businesses

  • Shrines may remain open on the instructions of concerned divisional/district administration in discussion with health and as well as Auqaf and Religious Affairs Department. 
  • Offices are permitted to open during normal working hours with 100% attendance. 
  • There will be an entire closure of cinemas all over the province. 
  • A complete prohibition will keep on contact sport including boxing, martial arts, Karate, and others. Nevertheless, indoor gyms will be permitted for vaccinated individuals only. 
  • Public transport may move on authorized paths with an occupancy level of up to 50% seating capacity, but with the restriction of the obeying of all SOPs with staff duly vaccinated. 
  • Railway facilities will linger to operate with 70% occupancy under strict obedience to COVID-19 SOPs. 
  • Indoor dinging businesses till 11:59 pm has been allowed by The Sindh government with 50% capacity for vaccinated people only. Though, inoculation cards will be mandatory for all customers. 
  • Maximum 200 guests who are fully vaccinated are allowed for Indoor weddings and related ceremonies, under strict adherence to COVID SOPs. 
  • Maximum of 400 guests are permitted to attend outdoor weddings and related ceremonies but with strict COVID protocols. 
  • Last but not least, all the amusement parks, and water sports, will carry on with their activities at 50% of the capacity. Public parks are also certified to remain open under strict observance of COVID-19 rules.
