The Punjab government has launched the Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card mobile application to provide information on the federal government’s ‘Sehat Sahulat Program.’
Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Punjab’s Health Minister, and senior officials from the provincial health department inaugurated the app in Lahore, according to information.

Dr. Yasmin, who spoke at the occasion, explained that the application has been linked to the National Database Regulatory Authority (NADRA) since individuals’ records with the NADRA are required in order to access healthcare services at all empaneled hospitals in the province.
She went on to say that through the Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat card, each family will be given a health card in the name of the family’s head, who will be responsible for registering with the authorities via the application.

Residents of Punjab can receive free treatment for up to Rs 1 million in 133 public, secondary, and tertiary hospitals around the province, as well as 101 private hospitals.
In addition, the provincial administration has established dedicated assistance desks in the offices of Assistant Commissioners at the Tehsil level. They can also call the helpline at 0800-09009 to get more information about the program’s free counseling.
The PM said the government would spend Rs400 billion to provide health insurance to 30 million families in Punjab, calling it a significant step toward the formation of a welfare state.
The health card will be available in Lahore division from January 1, and all families in Punjab would be covered by March 2022.
