According to WABetaInfo, the popular messaging app WhatsApp has submitted a new version update, in which the WhatsApp may be working on a feature that allows users to move their chats from an Android phone to an iOS phone.
So, what exactly is the “move chats to iOS” feature?
Users of WhatsApp will be able to move chats from iOS to Android 12 phones in the near future, however, the massaging app has recently made the announcement that it may be possible to transfer chat history from Android to iOS.

We can see the feature through a screenshot which the company has share through its WABetaInfo, if the functionality is activated, WhatsApp may ask for permission to import the user’s chat history before proceeding.
If the permission is given, the software will then instruct the user to keep the WhatsApp open and the phone unlocked while it moved their chats.
However, there were no additional specifics or information regarding when the feature would be released.
Users may now migrate their WhatsApp conversations from iOS to Samsung smartphones, while WhatsApp and Google have added support for transferring chat history from iOS to Pixel phones.
WhatsApp released a beta version of the feature back in September last year that will allow users to move their chats to iOS from an older Android device.
The feature requires users to have a Lightning USB type-C cable to connect their Android phones with the new iPhone to move their chat history.
