Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICTP) has issued their WhatsApp contact number with the aim to offer easy access to all of their services to the people of Islamabad, consequently making them the first police department in the history of Pakistan that can be contacted on WhatsApp.
Under this initiative, all the services of the federal police will be only a click away from now on.
The decision regarding the WhatsApp number was announced through the Islamabad police’s official Twitter account.
Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Ahasan Younus uploaded a video on Twitter that deliver the message about the new revolution.

“In order to make our services more easily accessible for the citizens, Islamabad Police is issuing its WhatsApp number.
The citizens can register themselves with our number 0334-2874287 which is 0334-ICTP-ICTP, by sending a simple hi/hello,” IGP Younus said
He further said that as soon as the citizens register, they will get menus of Islamabad police services.

- Helpline numbers
- Gender-based harassment
- Online appointments for all facilities

- Services for foreign Pakistanis
- Responsive policing via social media
- ISB police mobile app and website
- Zainab alert
- Information regarding most wanted criminals
- Pakistan Citizens Portal Complaints
- Suggestions and feedback
Moreover, IGP Younus informed about the initiative that the Islamabad police WhatsApp contact allows people to access all its services easily. To use the number without any difficulty, all the necessary information and services that a citizen in Islamabad may require would be available, both in English and Urdu, on the WhatsApp number, he added.
The IGP further said he is hopeful that the citizens will appreciate this effort, added that the ICTP continues to provide satisfactory services.
