In its 18th meeting, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) gave approval to 17 development projects at Rs 20 billion in the province. As per the official sources, the meeting approved projects in rural development, agriculture, civic development, board of revenue, health, food, and irrigation sectors.
The schemes accepted in the health sector included the up-gradation of five BHUs of Swat including Fateh Pur, Chingai, Shamozai, Guli Bagh, Kishora Malam Jabba to RHCs, the establishment of Saidu College of Dentistry in Saidu Medical College, renovation of Civil Hospital Manglawar, reconstruction and embellishment of 10 km Musakhel to Rocha and Sircular Road to Rocha in Bunnu district, lands acquisition for roads in Lower Chitral and Kalash Valley, and construction of tehsil buildings in Charsadda, Bannu, Haripur, Shabqada, and Bakkakhel.
Moreover, the approved projects in the agriculture sector were CAD, DAP Impact Assessment, and updating feasibility studies.

In the sector of civic development, district development projects for Shangla and Swat were accepted whereas the up-gradation of the sewerage system for Haripur alongside the GT Road was also given consent. The enhancement of irrigation and sewerage facilities in Katta Khatt and Babini, feasibility study for preparing a departmental and legal framework to provide services to the destitute people, construction of Quaid e Azam College Narag Road Mardan, the building of Canal-Petrol Road, feasibility study and construction of District Jail Shangla.
Meanwhile, the meeting also approved the projects regarding up-gradation of the road from Sub-Jail Parachinar to District Jail Parachinar, construction of food go-downs in Bajaur district and feasibility study, security for Khyber Spinal Route, construction and designing of new tehsil complexes in Badhaber, Matani Peshwar, Shah Alam and Lower Tanawal Abbottabad.
The PDWP meeting was chaired by Shahab Ali Shah-Additional Chief Secretary P&D Department and joined by members of PDWP and officers from the concerned departments.
