Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz Sharif announced to provide free medicines for cancer patients by transferring cash to their accounts. Mayo Hospital and the Bank of Punjab (BoP) agreed to this transfer of funds and signed an agreement before Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz Sharif.
Under the Umeed-e-Zindagi program, the Bank of Punjab will transfer cash to the registered cancer patients. Punjab CM said that God and His people will be pleased with the aid being given to the patients.
The occasion was attended by Chief Secretary Punjab, the President Bank of Punjab, the Secretary of Health, and the other officials.

Bank of Punjab will transfer cash to the accounts of cancer patients for purchase of free medicines, officials said adding Mayo Hospital and Bank of Punjab reached agreement on money transfer for purchase of free medicines.
Meanwhile, Provincial Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique had earlier enlightened that efforts were being carried out to give all possible free medical treatment to the people of Punjab through Universal Health Insurance. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had the mission for this health insurance.
Khawaja Salman Rafique said PM Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab CM Hamza Shahbaz wanted to provide the best healthcare facilities to the people. Several hospitals are now swiftly being paneled to provide better treatment facilities to the people of Punjab.
They also hope to create a bone marrow transplantation facility for the families of Punjab through Universal Health Insurance. They are taking numerous steps to enhance the level of facilities for doctors and patients in Punjab’s government hospitals.
Khawaja Salman Rafique further elucidated that they had to visit the fields for the convenience of the patients in government hospitals of Punjab, adding that the State Life staff in selected public and private hospitals in Punjab must ensure that there is better treatment of patients.
