“I would like to assure the nation that the sacrifices of our soldiers will not be in vain. For us, the unity and sovereignty of the country is the most important”, said Indian PM Modi after the Galwan clash.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for an all parties’ conference after the incident where almost 2 dozen Indian soldiers were killed by Chinese forces in Galwan sector. Prime Minister Modi said during an official statement that we Indians only wanted peace, but we can give an appropriate reply if prompted.
“India wants peace but if someone is going to provoke then India is proficient in giving a suitable reply. The message was conveyed during a meeting between 15 Chief Ministers on COVID-19 condition”.
While remembering the eliminated soldiers PM Modi, Union Home Minister, and Chief Ministers witnessed a two minute silence. Among other soldiers, Colonel Santosh Babu who was commanding officer of 16 Bihar was also found dead during the Galwan clash.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also commented on the situation and said, it is very painful and deeply troubling, soldiers showed tremendous courage and bravery while giving their life for the country.
While tweeting from the official account he said, the Nation will never forget their bravery and sacrifice. My heart goes out to the families of the fallen soldiers.
The loss of soldiers in Galwan is deeply disturbing and painful. Our soldiers displayed exemplary courage and valour in the line of duty and sacrificed their lives in the highest traditions of the Indian Army.

It is now more than 50 days since both countries are in an eye to eye standoff in Ladakh region. It is the first time in 45 years that India and China went face to face. Back in 1967 Indian forces faced 88 deaths and on the other hand Chinese suffered a loss of over 300 in Sikkim and also there was an incident in 1975 when Indian petrol was ambushed by People’s Liberation Army in Arunachal Pradesh.
