In line with the business plan, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced to induct five new aircraft into its fleet.
The national airline is going to purchase five state-of-the-art aircraft on dry-lease for six years. Tender in this regard has been released seeking applications from the market, media reported.
The wide-body aircraft will be helpful for the growing business of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). The new planes that will be a part of the PIA fleet will have a capacity of 250 to 320 passengers.
Besides, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) also inducted a second Airbus A320 to increase its fleet.
According to the details, the PIA continues to induct new airplanes into its fleet as the second Airbus 320 has been inducted. The plane reached Pakistan from Sharjah.

The national flag carriers put in a bid to acquire the planes last year; two of them have already made it to Pakistan this year, and two more will in the near future.
After the inclusion of these aircraft, the Pakistan International Airlines fleet will have now 14 Airbus A320 aircraft.
Earlier this year, PIA decided to provide internet facilities to its travelers during flights. The decision was taken following the special instructions of Federal Aviation Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique.
The media reported that the national carrier will provide internet facilities to its passengers and has already started the installation of Wi-Fi devices.
For this purpose, the PIA management also required recommendations from the firms willing for the installation of the in-flight entertainment system.
PIA official informed that at first, the internet facility will be offered on PIA’s 10 Boeing 777s, which are deployed on longer routes, and 14 AIRBUS A320.
Moreover, the United States (US) gave a green signal for direct flights of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) from Pakistan. Head of Prime Minister’s Strategic Reforms Unit Salman Sufi made the announcement while addressing a press conference in the US capital.
