Reports emerging from different sources imply that Indus Motors Company has discontinued the Toyota Corolla Altis Grande 1.8L Manual transmission.
The company is not offering the 1.8 Manual variant for sale anymore. However, IMC has not disclosed any main reason behind the closure of the variant. The announcement came when the IMC announced its new Corolla Altis X-Package car. The newly launched vehicle with minor inner and exterior changes will be coming into the Pakistani market in January 2021.
The upcoming X-Package car will be equipped with a front and rear bumper kit, passenger seat belt sensor, all black interior and parking sensor.
Corolla Altis Grande 1.8L Manual
The Corolla Altis Grande 1.8L Manual is the second top of the line in Corolla cars which costs Rs. 3,679,000. The variant is equipped with all the latest features including, cruise control, sunroof, leather seats and autoboot.
Apart from that, the car is having a keyless entry feature, steering controls, front camera and navigation.
This time the company has focused on automatic transmission rather than manual as the company is offering a completely black interior exclusively for the automatic variant.

The Toyota Indus Motors (IMC) growth rate for the FY21 and FY22 will be around 4-15%, according to the experts, due to the high demand and sale of its Yaris brand. “Launch time was perfect, as Yaris is competing old Honda City model and there is no other major competition,” expert said.
However, time will decide whether the discontinuation of this manual 1.8L variant will impact Toyota’s sales.
