Babar Azam is right up there alongside the likes of occupants of fab four list Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Kane Willaimson, and Joe Root when it comes to the modern-day great batsmen and his constant performance has earned him to be added to that list and turn it into ‘fab five’. These players have become the talk in the cricket community for some time now.
With the persistence with bat, Babar Azam has been the backbone of the Pakistan cricket batting line up and PCB awarded the T20 and ODI’s captaincy to Babar Azam and soon the test captaincy will also be officially handed over to the star batsman as well.
In past two years, Babar made 8 centuries in all formats. Four centuries in ODIs and four in test cricket.
With the ongoing series against Zimbabwe, Babar made one century in ODI and two half centuries in the first two T20I matches.
Babar Azam’s performance speaks louder as he is the only top batsman who is sitting in top five batsman in all format of the game.
Babar Azam is on the verge of adding another record to his accolades, which is the leading run-scorer in all format since January 2019. Babar Azam is five runs ahead than Virat Kohli while playing 6 innings less than Indian captain.
Here is the top five run-scorer since January 2019:
