Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has modified their SOPs and issued new guidelines for domestic flights to lessen the danger of spreading coronavirus pandemic and keep travelers and airline crew safe.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority representative who disclosed new guidelines, as per new instruction, travelers need to wear a face mask before entering the terminal building. Except for the passengers, no one will be allowed to enter the airport lounge, the spokesperson said.

The Civil Aviation Authority also ended the condition of seat spacing in the plane for international arrivals. Furthermore, the inbound flight passengers for some selected countries will no longer have to provide a COVID-19 RT-PCR test before boarding.
According to the new Pakistan CAA guidelines for domestic flights only passengers and airport staff are allowed to go beyond the parking area. The airport staff will be responsible for implementing the said guidelines and make sure to follow the social distancing at the boarding bridge and departure lounge.
The crew members also directed to wear PPE kits during the flight which is mandatory. The CAA representative also added that the crew members must provide sanitizer to every passenger on an hourly basis throughout the trip. All domestic flights will be disinfected by following the prearranged technique before departure.

The new SOPs released by the authority will be effective from the 6th of October and shall remain till the 31st of December.
