Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan performed the groundbreaking of two high-rise residential and commercial buildings on Warsak Road.
These multi-story buildings have 1,240 residential flats of different sizes while other allied facilities will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 17.5 billion, as per the statement issued.
One high-rise building will be built on more than five kanals of land, which consist of three commercial and 10 residential floors. While the other building will be constructed at Rehman Baba Complex on the land of 79-kanal having a facility of 10 residential floors.
During the occasion, Mahmood Khan praised the provincial minister for housing and his whole team for starting practical work on the construction of high-rise buildings.
He said his government, in accordance with the vision of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan, was tirelessly working for the wellbeing of the common man.

CM further added that the construction of apartment towers to deliver residential facilities to low-income people was also a part of that vision and strategy.
Mahmood Khan announced that the provincial government was looking forward to launching the mega housing project of the province – New Peshawar Valley – which would be the only housing society to be set up under the land sharing formula. He stated government housing schemes were also being introduced on the available non-agricultural lands in other districts.
Moreover, he told the ceremony that the provincial government was not only working on housing projects and high-rise buildings but also taking constructive steps in order to protect the agricultural land in the province.
Talking about the current political situation in the country, the CM said when the country was on the way to development and the people were realizing the positive change in their lives, “a group of incompetent rulers had been imposed on the country”.
Khan maintained that two political parties governed the country for 40 years; however, they did nothing for the welfare of the people. He said that the development projects of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had been left out of this year’s Public Service Development Programme.
Furthermore, he claimed that free treatment facility for the people of the merged areas was also stopped by the federal government.
