COVID-19 Update: Pakistan Records 100 New Cases In a Day

Pakistan reported no deaths due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, as the total number of confirmed cases rose to 1,578,359. However, at least 100 new cases were reported during the same period, according to data issued by the National Institute of Health (NIH) on Monday. 
The nationwide tally of fatalities remained at 30,645, indicating a positive trend in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. The government and health authorities are closely monitoring the situation and taking measures to curb the spread of the virus. 
The country conducted 3,147 tests during the same period, with a positivity rate of 3.18 per cent. The data suggests that the situation is under control, and efforts are underway to ensure the safety of citizens. 
The authorities have urged people to follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the government to contain the spread of the virus. The SOPs include social distancing, wearing masks, and avoiding gatherings. 
The vaccination drive is also ongoing in the country, with over 7 million doses administered so far. The government aims to vaccinate the majority of the population by the end of this year to achieve herd immunity.
