Hopes are soaring that a Covid vaccine is within reach, following news that a Covid-19 vaccine being developed by American Pfizer and German BioNTech has been found to be more than 90 percent effective.
The breakthrough could lead to global trials and then the development of shots available for use by the end of the year if drug authorities give it the green light.
Both of these companies got tremendous popularity after the news broke out. On the other hand, the people of the world are now hoping to be saved from the lethal attack of virus which has killed more than 1.2 million people so far.
It is expected that by the end of this year, this vaccine would be available in the market. The vaccine was tested at a vast level in different countries and contrary to the expectations of the scientists of these companies, the results were surprisingly hopeful. This is preliminary testing which will continue till December.
Both the Pfizer and BioNTech pharmaceutical companies are busy on the vaccine project day and night. The head office of the Pfizer Company is in Network while BioNTech is a comparatively smaller company of Germany which is being supported by German and other European businessmen.
The spokesmen of these two companies said that work on the safety aspects of this vaccine is successfully continuing and no side effect has been discovered so far. The regulatory institutions have declared that even if there are 50% positive results of this vaccine, it will be good to save 50% of people from the corona. After the successful trials, the approval for the marketing of this vaccine would be given.
Moreover, the spokesman of the Russian ministry of health has recently said that they have also prepared a vaccine for coronavirus which was tested at a vast level and gave 90% positive results.
