The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has now successfully enabled the online fee payment module for Transfer of Motor Vehicle through e-Pay Punjab.
E-Pay Punjab has lately added a number of online payment options for 21 taxes across ten departments. The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) created this platform primarily to aid people of the province and the Excise Taxation and Narcotics Control (ET&NC) department to optimize their operations and database.
Therefore, through E-Pay Punjab, the department has successfully enabled the online fee payment module for ‘Transfer of Motor Vehicle.’ Citizens can now pay the transfer fee from anywhere by using a smart device application to generate a Payment Slip ID (PSID).
Under the policy, the vehicle ownership can be transferred to the buyer after approval from the Motor Registration Authority once the transfer fee is paid through the Punjab E-Pay App. Furthermore, there will be no need to submit the registration book or excise file for the transfer procedure.

The structure is intended to save both the public and the staff time by providing a convenient online payment option that can be used from the comfort of one’s own home. It also assists the department in limiting COVID-19’s spread.
The department’s digitization push also involves requiring biometric authentication at the time of car registration. This action was done to prevent the sale and purchase of vehicles on open letters and to make sure that all vehicles in the national database have accurate records.
