The government of KPK has made wearing face mask mandatory when entering into public offices.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 519 new cases in a single day on Monday with 12 new deaths due to coronavirus. The situation in the province is getting uncontrollable as other parts of the country. No region of the province is safe from the spread of the virus. This is the major reason that the provincial government has made mandatory wearing masks for entry to offices.
According to a report by the health department, the number of fatalities in KPK has reached 587 due to pandemic and the number of cases reached 14,006.
The cases are still increasing rapidly from the past few days. Death rate also increased and no one seems to be following the government’s SOPs. The government took strict action against violation of SOPs so wearing masks are now made compulsory in government offices of KP.
On Thursday, the notification was issued in the best public interest that no one will be permitted to enter government and public offices without wearing a face mask in order to avoid getting infected with COVID-19. Also, banners will be displayed at the entrance of offices, bearing the text, “No mask No entry”. Administrative secretaries received the notice that will be now applicable to all departments.
The hospitals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also took strict action. The Outpatient Department (OPD) will treat semi-emergency patents only with strict adherence to social distancing measures and SOPs are enforced from Monday onwards.
