Pakistan Army has jumped five spots to rank number 10 among the 2021 Military Strength Ranking released by the Global Firepower.
The Pakistan Army is among the 10 most strong-armed forces in the world, leaving behind Canada, Germany, and Australia as disclosed by Global Firepower Index 2021 which was published this week.
The Global Firepower ranked 138 countries’ armies by taking into account a number of variables, which includes the diversity of the arms, manpower, population, geography and state of development of each nation.

To determine the PowerIndex score of a country, the Global Firepower ranking utilizes over 55 variables. The formula makes it possible to compete with larger, less developed countries in smaller, more technologically advanced countries.
0.0000, a perfect PwrIndex score, which is realistically unachievable. The closest countries are to that figure, the stronger their armies are.
Pakistan has projected number of 1,204,000 military personnel according to the ranking. In the ranking, the United States occupies first place, second is Russia, and third is China.
India, Japan, South Korea, France, the UK, Brazil, and Pakistan are all among the top ten.

1 United States
For 2021, out of the selected countries for the annual GFP study, the U.S. ranks 1st out of 138. It carries a ranking of 0.07211 for PwrIndx*.
2 Russia
For 2021, out of the selected countries for the annual GFP study, the Russia ranks 2nd out of 138. It carries a ranking of 0.0796 for PwrIndx*.
3 China
For 2021, out of the selected countries for the annual GFP study, the China ranks 3rd out of 138. It carries a ranking of 0.0858 for PwrIndx*.
4 India
For 2021, out of the selected countries for the annual GFP study, the India ranks 4th out of 138. It carries a ranking of 0.1214 for PwrIndx*.
5 Japan
For 2021, Japan took 5th spot out of 138 countries considered for the annual GFP review. Japan grasp PwrIndx* ranking of 0.1435.
6 South Korea
For 2021, out of the selected countries for the annual GFP study, the South Korea ranks 6th out of 138. It carries a ranking of 0.1621 for PwrIndx*.
7 France
For 2021, out of the selected countries for the annual GFP study, the France ranks 7th out of 138. It carries a ranking of 0.1691 for PwrIndx*.
8 United Kingdom
UK is ranked 8th out of 138 countries considered for annual GFP review. The UK holds 0.2008 PwrIndx rating in 2021.
9 Brazil
Brazil is ranked 9th out of 138 countries considered for annual GFP review. The Brazil holds 0.2037 PwrIndx rating in 2021.
10 Pakistan
Meanwhile, Pakistan is ranked 10th out of 138 countries considered for annual GFP review. The Pakistan holds 0.2083 PwrIndx rating in 2021.
