Pakistani actors Gohar Rasheed and Faryal Mehmood have paired up for a romantic film based on the lockdown situation imposed to contain Covid-19.
The coronavirus has surrounded the whole world and Pakistan is among 10 most affected countries. The pandemic not only made people sick or dead rather it has cast a great economic loss to all countries. It was inevitable that the entertainment industry, already affected a lot, to come up with new ideas to engage artists for new projects. For doing something different Gohar Rasheed and Faryal Mehmood have started working on a movie related to lockdown.
Pakistan’s entertainment industry is working on likewise projects as well. When Gohar was asked of the project he said that it is a love story with the background of lockdown and the fears of coronavirus. He further said that the title shows, “how a common man gets affected by the virus, how a simple couple gets affected by the horror of Covid-19 and the repercussions of lockdown.”
Then Faryal Makhdoom said, “I can’t talk much about the story, but the name kinda gives it away! It’s about a couple suffering through these times and how they overcome their struggles to be with each other in the end. Hope for all of us to ignite in ourselves and others!”
Lockdown will be directed by Abu Aleeha and is scripted by Abida Ahmed. The love story will most likely be released on a digital platform like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.
The story of the film is different said Gohar that it is all about treating people and fear among people. He added that there is no release date for lockdown as the shoot is going on.
