The government has issued Rs 1.5 billion funds, under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP 2021-22) against the allocation of Rs 3.5 billion to boost 17 different projects to ensure improved services in the aviation sector.
Out of the total cost of Rs 1,575.06 million, about Rs 733.7 million have been consumed on the aviation sector projects during the previous fiscal year, the official data revealed.

The data from the PSDP document about aviation sector projects revealed that:
- Rs 11.077 million had been reserved to construct a double-storey ladies hostel with the provision of a third storey along with a mess, recreation hall and related facilities at Allama Iqbal International Airport
- Rs 37.581 million has been set aside for the construction of 2X double-storey barrack with the provision of the third storey for the corporal to inspectors and assistant director, in addition to separate mess with allied facilities, recreation hall at Quetta Airport
- Rs 20 million to build Airport Security Force (ASF) camp at Islamabad International Airport
- Rs 50 million has been allocated to construct barrack accommodation for ASF personnel along with a mess and related facilities, ladies rest room MT, kote magazine, store, quarter guard and OC accommodation at Skardu Airport
- Rs 39.534 million for construction of barrack accommodation for ASF personnel besides a mess and associated facilities, MT, visitors room, ladies rest room, store, quarter guard, kote magazine, and OC accommodation at Chitral Airport
- Rs 21.285 million to build double-storey barracks for ASF at Faisalabad Airport
- Rs 6.213 million had been kept to make double-storey director South Secretariat Offices ASF with the allied facilities
- Rs 500 million to build rainwater harvesting Kasana Dam at Islamabad International Airport
- Rs 57.719 million for establishing triple-storey living accommodation for ASF employees at Lahore Airport
- Rs 3.952 million for construction of triple-storey living barrack for ASF employees with a mess, recreation hall at Multan Airport
- Rs 96.108 million has been allocated for developing reverse linkage between Mamara Research Centre (MRC), Turkey and Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD)
- An amount of Rs 239.736 million for the installation of Weather Surveillance Radar in Karachi
- Rs 580 million to install Weather Surveillance Radar at Multan
- Rs 370 million to install a weather surveillance radar at Sukkur,
- Rs 1,144.995 million has been set aside for the new Gwadar International Airport
- Rs 350 million to improve ASF Academy in Karachi
