After the huge awareness of healthy eating and nutritional foods across the globe, a local husband and wife team, Syed Salahuddin and Sana Shirazi passionate about nutrition, health, and fitness have introduced a range of genuinely healthy, delicious, ready-to-eat breakfasts and snacks to the Pakistan market and named the business Powerfoods.
According to the sources, the husband and wife team has done extensive research and tested dozens of original recipes after which they have started offering healthy and nourishing foodstuffs sweetened with only natural superfoods such as dates, honey, raisins, and figs, without the use of any artificial ingredients, cheap fillers, or preservatives.
The couple started their business by selling breakfast granolas from their home kitchen in 2019 under the name “Powerfoods”.
Encouraged on by boosting sales and no real competition in the local added sugar-free/healthy snacks space, the brand expanded its retail network in a very short time and its product line now includes granola bars, protein bars, cereals, high protein ice cream, and cookies.

With the purpose of seeking funding for brand expansion and scaling, the couple met Syed Sheharyar Ali, an angel investor well-known for supporting startups that add value to the lives of Pakistani people. Sheheryar loved the products so much that he instantly gave a green signal for the required funding.
Moreover, with the help of secured funding, the brand now looks forward to expanding and scaling through a personalized production facility, an innovative growing product line, and a nationwide retail distribution network in addition to eventual plans for export.
Furthermore, Pakistan’s pet food manufacturing startup, Waggles Pet Foods (Pvt.) Ltd once again stands out by being known as one of the country’s top 100 impactful startups.
Waggles Pet Food produces a whole range of pet food with dog food and treats, and cat food under the brand name Purrs, in the finest product formats.
The brand will showcase at SEE Pakistan 2022 at Lahore Expo Center on 18th August 2022, according to well-informed sources.
