Moderna
The US based biotechnology firm developed the Moderna vaccine which is 94.5% effective against COvid-19. The company decided to charge between $25 to $37 per dose from governments, depending on the amount ordered.
Moreover, according to the CEO of Moderna, Stephane Bancel, the Covid-19 vaccine will cost the same as the flu vaccine which is between $10 and $50.
Sinovac Biotech
The Chinese biopharmaceutical company named Sinovac Biotech developed the COVID-19 vaccine and had started administering it to the front line health workers and other high-risk groups in Jiaxing city, under the National Emergency Program.
Jiaxing’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) unveiled that Sinovac’s vaccine will probably cost $30 per dose.
Pfizer
The US based pharmaceutical company Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech, recently announced that their coronavirus vaccine offers a 90% effective rate against the virus. The company decided to charge $20 for each dose of their COVID-19 vaccines.
Sputnik V
Sputnik V, the Russian vaccine also revealed their last stage clinical trial results which are 92% effective against coronavirus. However, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) has not revealed Sputnik V price but it is believed that the vaccine will cost lower than the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.
Novavax Inc
Novavax Inc, another US based company that developed a Covid-19 vaccine and each dose will cost $16.
Prior to this, the company had acquired Czech Republic based Praha vaccines for $167 million in May. Novavax Inc targeting to roll out 1 billion vaccine doses of its COVID-19 vaccine in 2021.
Janssen
After one-month suspension of clinical trials, Johnson and Johnson recently resumed the trials of its COVID-19 vaccine named Janssen. According to Johnson and Johnson, the vaccine’s each dose will cost around $10.
AstraZeneca
According to reports, the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine is 90% effective. The AstraZeneca vaccine is developed by the British pharmaceutical company and Oxford University which offers substantial protection to high-risk age groups, who have suspiciously been affected during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to reports, the AstraZeneca vaccine price per dose will be around $4.
