The Ministry of Human Rights has officially launched a new mobile app for the guardians of differently-abled children about the services available in different DGSE centres.
Directorate General of Special Education with the technical support of National Information Technology Board (NITB) has prepared the mobile application for the guardians of differently-abled children.

The app is intended to creating awareness among the people about education, training and restoration facilities accessible for children with diverse aptitudes in the Special Education Centers and Institutions working under the Directorate General of Special Education (DGSE).

Through the initiative, it will support the people of remote areas of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) who can get essential data about online admission and other facilities which can be availed in the Special Education Centers, institutions and school under Federal Directorate of Education (FDE).
The Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari inaugurated the Mobile App. Through the application, it will be able to bring around 30,000 differently-abled children who are out of school into the education system.

The Director General (SE) Sheikh Azhar Sajjad informed the members that Directorate General of Special Education is giving a comprehensive atmosphere and opportunities via policies, programs, plans and projects that would encourage social advancement, rehabilitation and educate children and individual with different skills.
Sheikh Azhar further expressed that DGSE is also providing vocational training, education and restoration services to differently-abled children.
“Beside education we are also provide different therapies like Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Speech therapy, Audiology, Medical, Ophthalmology and Artificial limbs free of cost to the Special Children,” he said.
Dr. Shireen Mazari admired the work done by DGSE with the collaboration of NITB for the preparation and initiation of the Mobile App. Dr. Shireen Mazari also distributed appreciation certificates between developers and designers of the Mobile App.
The ceremony was attended by the officials from different divisions including Secretory Human Rights, Director General (SE), CEO (NITB), Director General (HR) and other officers from relevant departments.
