The import bill of 30 items reached Rs 696.346 billion during November as compared to Rs 287.131 billion during the same month, last year, indicating a rise of 142.52 percent. The share of these items in total imports comes to 53 percent.
The major contribution is from the motor spirit which rose by 279.54 percent to Rs.102.697 billion in the month of November which was Rs 27.058 billion in the same month, last year.
The import of Petroleum and oils, obtained from bitumen increased by 131.76% to Rs.75.455 billion and the import of High-Speed Diesel went up by 266.39% to Rs 57.234 billion in November which was at Rs 15.621 billion during this month, last year.

The import bill of LNG too increased by 101.94% to Rs 72.372 billion as compared to Rs 35.837 billion during November, last year.
The import of bituminous coal also rose by 120.36 percent to Rs 41.339 billion in November this year as compared to Rs 18.760 during this month, last year.
The import of palm oil also went up by 185.12 percent to Rs 33.611 billion the value of which was just Rs 11.788 billion during November, last year. The import of palm olein grew by 60.74 percent to Rs 29.056 billion as compared to Rs 18.076 billion during November, last year.
During the month, under consideration, vaccines worth Rs 31.482 billion was imported. The value of this import was only Rs 3.602 billion during November, last year.
The value of import of sugar comes to Rs 12.654 in November which was Rs 4.098 billion during this month, last year, showing an increase of 208 percent.
The import bill of phosphoric Acid was worth Rs 14.995 billion in November which was Rs 174.18 million during the month of November, last year, indicating a huge rise.
The wind-power machinery equipment worth Rs 7.349 billion was also imported during this month which was not imported last year.
The import of furnace oil increased by 243 percent to Rs 6.457 billion in November this year as compared to Rs 1.881 billion during this month, last year.
The import of vehicles in CKD/SKD conditions touched the figure of Rs.30.152 billion in November. Last November, the value of this import was just Rs 7.878 billion, indicating a growth of 282.7 percent.
The import of LPG was worth Rs 9.320 billion this November against Rs 5.217 during the same month, last year. This shows an increase of 78.63 percent.
