Renowned Pakistani calligrapher, Muhammad Ali Zahid has been honored to achieve the Albaraka International Turk calligraphy competition 2021 conducted in Turkey.
According to details, the calligraphy competition is held every three years. But, since its launch, only participants from Turkey and other countries were winning it but this is for the first time, a Pakistani competitor got the victory.
“It is a moment of great pride for Pakistan because for the last many months’ young Pakistani talent is winning medals and titles in different sports-related activities,” said an official statement.
Furthermore, the Albaraka Turk International Calligraphy Competition is one of the most esteemed events that admire the effort of the world’s best calligraphers all around the globe.
The coordinators of the competition acknowledged Muhammad Ali Zahid as the first one ever calligrapher in the Indo-Pak subcontinent having such devotion to detail and comprehensive knowledge of calligraphy.

“I am grateful to Albaraka Turk International Calligraphy competition for giving me this platform to showcase my art. I am humbled to receive this award and hope to continue producing excellent work for the world to see,” Zahid expressed his delight after winning the contest.
He added that the compatriots present an encouraging future in the case they are trained sufficiently and reinforced by the government, their organizations and their families.
Moreover, calligraphy has helped a lot in the encouragement of Quranic verses and it has been written in various scripts since the time immemorial.
“We should be proud of the talent we have and should encourage such individuals to step forward to make a name for themselves and their country,” the handout further said.
Besides this, Syed Sadequain Ahmed Naqvi was a Pakistani artist, renowned for his abilities as a calligrapher and a painter. He is one of the exceptional calligraphers and painters, the country has ever produced.
