There were vast opportunities for mutual trade and investment between Pakistan and Italy from which businessmen and traders of both the countries can gain benefits, said Andreas Ferrarese.
On Wednesday, the Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan Andreas Ferrarese gave a statement at a dinner hosted at his residence in honor of Presidents of various trade chambers and business leaders that enormous investment opportunities for mutual trade between Pakistan and Italy can be proved beneficial for both countries.
The President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce, Zafar Bakhtawri, Chairman Federation Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Capital Office Qurban Ali, President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Muhammad Nasir Mirza, President Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Umer Ashraf Mughal, President Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sherbaz Ilyas Bilour and Abdullah Shad Abbasi and many others were present at the dinner.

He suggested that bilateral cooperation can be extended through a green economy, technological transfer, education, and health.
He further said that Pakistani businessmen and traders should move forward and work to promote mutual trade and economic ties between Pakistan and Italy.
Ferrarese informed the attendees that in FY 2020-21, workers remittances from Italy reached $601 million which is an all-time high figure. It has made Italy, Pakistan’s 7th largest destination for workers remittance globally and No 1 from the EU.
The ambassador of Italy is already providing upgraded machinery to the agriculture, marble and leather industry of Pakistan. He added by saying that Pakistan was working to expand it to agricultural items including dairy and livestock, olives and olive products, plastics, processed food and the construction sector in the Italian market.
He stated that green economy, transfer of technology for the industrial sector including textiles and agro industry, construction sector, education and health are main areas of focus to extend the mutual cooperation.
