The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department in Lahore registered the costliest car in the history of the province — Lamborghini Huracan Spyder — with an astounding price tag of Rs 115 million.
The owner of the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder sports car named Arjumand paid Rs 4.532 million just to register the Lamborghini which was denied initially because the excise system couldn’t register vehicles with value above Rs 100 million. However, the Punjab Excise and Taxation upgraded their system to register such a luxurious vehicle.

The car was registered in the name of Syed Arjumand Bukhari from Phase 8, DHA Cantt, Lahore, who imported it to present it as a gift to his son on his birthday.
The Lamborghini Huracan Spyder is a 5.2L engine and the car is very renowned for its unique exterior. The car has a parking sensor and air intake vents at the front. Furthermore, the car has specially designed wings at the front to gain maximum speed, and that is the reason the Lamborghini has an aerodynamic lesser front and a bit extensive back.
Before Lamborghini Huracan Spyder, the most expensive car registered by Punjab Excise and Taxation was the Mercedes GT Series. The owner purchased the car for almost Rs 100 million and paid Rs 3.5 million for the registration of the vehicle.
In September 2018 an 18k gold foil Lamborghini Aventador S also arrived in Islamabad, Pakistan and the owner of the car was Kunwar Moeez Khan a property tycoon of the country. The car was imported from UK.
The owner was quoted by the local media as saying: “More than hundred million rupees has been paid to the government as duty/taxes on this car. It has been imported… from the UK.”
