Pakistan Auto Show (PAS) 2022 participated from different promising prospects, one such new is YES Electromotive, a completely original electric vehicle (EV) maker that is planning to introduce MUVA electric rickshaw in Pakistan.
According to the firm’s representative, MUVA electric rikshaws are entirely manufactured and assembled in Pakistan from scratch in Lahore.
It goes under fine-tuning by the company via testing and research and development before it is officially introduced to the general public of the market.
A light commercial vehicle is a development program that was also covered by MUVA which stands for Modular Utility Vehicle Architecture.
Moreover, the small EVs would serve the same purpose as a conventional rickshaw; however, it contains zero tailpipe emissions. It is efficient with seven times less running cost when compared to normal three wheels rickshaws.

It is an ultra-light commercial EV that is appropriate for three passengers and a seat for the driver, comprising a max load capacity of 300 kg and a crib weight of 450 kg. Furthermore, it has a single permanent magnet electric motor that produces up to 10.7 horsepower.
MUVA electric rickshaw would be sold only as a commercial EV and the firm’s intention is to have twinkle-toed sales. Besides, YES Electromotive is also looking ahead to embracing a ride-hailing service operating model, where the driver would easily mobilize these rickshaws through a mobile app, according to the representative.
