The much-anticipated premium sedan, internationally known as Morris Garages 5, is coming to Pakistan under the name of MG GT. For MG fans, this yellow automobile is undoubtedly an exciting option. However, the launch date is unknown because this is a test vehicle, which means MG Pakistan will put the car through its tests on local roads to see if it is suited.
MG 5 Anticipation
The excitement for the MG 5 began in February 2021, when MG Pakistan official Javed Afridi posted photographs of the automobile on his Twitter account. “What price do you believe the MG 5 sedan will get in the Pakistani market?” Afridi inquired. He also revealed the vehicle’s specifications and features.

International Specs & Features
The MG 5 is a beautiful D-segment family sedan with cutting-edge technologies. The car had its international appearance in September 2020, and it made a huge impact and admiration for its attractive appearance and powerful features.
The current version of this sedan is available in two engine options on the international market. Both are SAIC 4-cylinder 16-valve 1.5-liter engines. One is a naturally aspirated engine with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission that produces 119 horsepower. The other is a turbocharged engine with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission that produces 173 horsepower.
With tail lights, LED daytime running lamps, projector headlamps, and an electric sunroof, the automobile has a dynamic look. The interior is airy and welcoming.
The MG 5 car will compete with Pakistanis’ favourite sedans, the Toyota Corolla, Toyota Yaris, and Honda City, if it is sold in the country.
In Pakistan, MG Pakistan and Javed Afridi teased a variety of MG automobiles, including the MG RX8, MG3, and MG Gloster. Currently, the brand only offers the MG HS, MG ZS, and MG ZS EV. We expect that MG Pakistan will launch these automobiles in Pakistan shortly, which will undoubtedly increase competition in the market.
