China and Pakistan are fully ready for agricultural cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), according to a report published by China Economic Net (CEN) on Wednesday.
China’s Tianjin Modern Vocational Technology College and Pakistan’s MNS-University of Agriculture, Multan have signed an agreement for the agricultural machinery training program of Luban Workshop in Pakistan.
According to the sources, with the intention to train talents for China-Pak agricultural cooperation, the two organizations will mutually stimulate the sci-tech exchanges and cooperation on agricultural machinery, germplasm resources, and the agricultural environment.
They also have the purpose of further strengthening the two nations’ vocational education cooperation besides making huge contributions to Pakistan’s modernization of agricultural machinery.

At the signing ceremony, Kang Ning, President of TMVTC said that the Luban Workshop program is looking forward to launching one or two kinds of vocational training on the whole process mechanization operation of crops for the youth of Pakistan on the basis of the nation’s agricultural automation development demand.
Moreover, TMVTC has been involved in the operation of the Luban Workshop program in Pakistan since it was launched in July 2018, Kang said.
China’s TMVTC has completed a total of 3,200 teaching hours in Lahore Punjab up to now. Almost 95 young Pakistanis have completed their training on electric automatization and mechatronics. The program has been integrated into the G3 vocational training system in Punjab, Pakistan.
Addressing the World Vocational and Technical Education and Development Conference conducted in August 2022 in Tianjin China, Afifa Shajia Awais who is the Education Attaché of the Embassy of Pakistan in China stated that the vocational training of China’s Luban Workshop has empowered more and more young Pakistanis to partake in the process of globalization.
She further said that Pakistan still needed millions of skilled people to get industrialized.
It is to be mentioned here that The Luban Workshop is a Chinese vocational workshop program training talent overseas, a win-win model for worldwide vocational education cooperation.
