Pakistan has earned $360.034 million by making available different travel services in many countries during the first eight months of the current fiscal year 2021-22.
According to the data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), this proceeding shows a growth of 10.05 percent when compared to the $327.152 million during the provision of the same services in the corresponding period of the last financial year 2020-21.
During the month under consideration, the personal travel services showed an increase of 10.05 percent, from the $325.802 million a year ago to the $358.544 million during the period of July-February 2021-22.

Moreover, among the personal services, the exports of health-related expenditure increased by 92.66 percent whereas the education-related expenditure declined by 4.95 percent.
In addition, the remaining personal services saw a growth of 10.16 percent.
In the meantime, the exports of business services also increased by 10.37 percent, from the $1.350 million to the $1.490 million, the PBS data unrevealed.
It is worth mentioning here that the exports of services from the country experienced a growth of 18.17 percent in the first eight months of the current fiscal year (2021-22) as compared to the corresponding period of last year, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) revealed.
During the time period of July-February (2021-22), the exports of services were reported at $4,492.02 million as compared to the exports of $3,801.18 million in July- February (2020-21), presenting a growth of 18.17 percent.
Likewise, the imports also showed a hike of 39.20 percent increase from $5,089.31 million last year to $7,084.40 million during the period under review.
Earlier this month, Pakistan’s exports increased by 25 percent to $23.22 billion during the first nine months of the current fiscal year as compared to $18.688 billion in the same months a year ago.
During the month of March 2022, Pakistan’s exports witnessed an increase of 17.3 percent to $2.773 billion against $2.365 billion in March 2021.
