In March, the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications (MoITT), in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), will host a major event.
According to MoITT officials, the 3-day event for branding Pakistan’s IT and Telecom sector will be held in March next year at the Expo Center Lahore.
According to the official, the three-day event will take place from March 16th to March 18th, 2023. The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEP) and Trade Development Authority Pakistan (TDAP) are in charge of organizing this event. Registration for the event has begun, and it is expected that more than 200 foreign delegates will attend.
The event has taken up all three floors of the Expo Center Lahore. Startup booths, e-commerce, fintech, artificial intelligence, cyber security, blockchain, the internet of things, robotics, health, tech, gaming and animation, business progress outreach, system integration, logistic tech, and other sections are spread across all three halls.
The purpose of the mega event, according to MoITT officials, is to brand the Pakistani IT and Telecommunications sector. Pakistan has enormous potential, as it has the world’s second fastest growing freelancing market, more than 600,000 IT professionals, 25,000 IT graduates and engineers each year, and 231 HEC-recognized universities.

This event, according to MoITT sources, will be a significant milestone in terms of investment in Pakistan’s IT and telecom sectors. Global companies will be given assurances about investment opportunities in Pakistan at this event.
Pakistan is one of the top ten countries in the world for an improving business environment. Pakistan’s ranking in the indicator of starting a business has risen from 130 to 72.
According to the sources, Pakistan’s IT industry is one of the top five net exporters in the country.
