The Pakistani pavilion, according to the announcement, had a tremendous response and surpassed the one million visitor threshold, beyond the organizers’ predictions.
“We’d like to thank our Creative team, particularly Noor Jahan (Interior) and Rashid Rana (Exterior), for their inventiveness in presenting true Pakistan to a wider audience,” the statement continued.
It also praised the Ministry of Commerce’s team, the Pakistan Trade Development Authority (TDAP), the Pakistan Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and the ambassador for putting on such a spectacular performance.
The honor comes only days after the pavilion’s designer, Rashid Rana, received Pakistan’s third highest civilian award, the Sitara-e-Imtiaz, for his services to the country’s art sector.
According to Rashid Rana, the pavilion features a diverse range of geography, climates, and cultures, with the mobility of colours magnifying the diversity and promoting the South Asian nation as a premier destination for possibilities and unique experiences.
The pavilion celebrated Pakistan’s rich cultural diversity, and the pavilion had planned to host over 100 events but ended up hosting over 300 due to its amazing success.
Many people flew to Dubai from Pakistan to see the Pavilion.
