To see the performance, visitors may either stay in their cars or sit on the roof or hood. There were also food stalls and bonfires.
Because of the coronavirus outbreak, Pakistan’s top rock musician Azmat thrilled the crowd with his first concert in two years.
The evening came to a close with a long-awaited performance by Aslam, who sang a number of his iconic songs, along with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan classics as a tribute to the qawwali legend.
Asif Aziz, chief commercial officer at Jazz said, “Creating a new world record is a wonderful achievement for us all and it’s heartening to see the enthusiasm shown by the residents of the twin cities to be part of this momentous occasion”.
