The Pakistan government provides full support to Chinese giant Huawei to establish its Research and Development centers in the country.
Federal Secretary Ministry of IT & Telecom Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui had a meeting with Huawei Technologies Pakistan CEO Mark Meng along with participants from both sides.
The meeting discussed a broad range of initiatives being taken by Huawei Technologies to increase its scope of operations including Information Technology and Telecom in Pakistan.
Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom (MI&T) publicized full support to Chinese tech giant Huawei for establishing R&D in Pakistan in the field of Emerging Technologies.
The Minister also proclaimed that currently, Huawei employed 800 Pakistani engineers to deliver tech-related solutions and to further enhance its Middle East coverage and Huawei is planning to hire more Pakistanis. Huawei Technologies and MoIT will work on options to broader the spectrum of support by employing more Pakistani engineers.
Previously Huawei conducted six virtual guide sessions in which around 150 students from Huawei ICT Academy participated. In total, six ICT academies completed twelve online certification courses.
In last month, Huawei Pakistan also launched another program in Pakistan named as “Learn ON for All”, the program will make sure the availability and accessibility to high-quality education.
Huawei Technologies is a Chinese multinational technology company and its headquarter is in Shenzhen, Guangdong. Huawei delivers tech related equipment along with selling high-quality smartphones all over the world.
The company was founded back in 1987 and the CEO of the company Ren Zhengfei was a former Deputy Regimental Chief in People’s Liberation Army. On the basis of that, the governments all over the world are suspicious of Huawei’s security and privacy for having a strong bond with the Chinese Army and the Chinese Government and fear that through Huawei equipment, they are spying on the world. The US, UK, and others placed a ban on Huawei 5G deployment.
