Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) decided to be the part of Virtual Digital Global Apparel Sourcing Expo.
In order to showcase products to the world market, PRGMEA decided to participate in the virtual Digital Global Apparel Sourcing Expo, as the international textile exhibition has been canceled due to novel coronavirus pandemic.
The Digital Global Apparel Sourcing Expo was launched online on 15th July 2020 by the International Apparel Federation and Foursource, this one-month long digital Apparel programme will go on till 14th August 2020.
On Monday, Chairman Sohail Sheikh PRGMEA Regional Chairman and Ijaz Khokhar Chief Coordinator in a joint statement said that PREGMEA has become the first trade body from Pakistan to participate on self-finance basis in a digital textile show.
They further said that PREGMEA will use an all-inclusive technological fashion industry platform for B2B matchmaking. Due to the novel COVID-19, importers and exporters both are reluctant to travel abroad and attend physical trade exhibitions.
The Regional President of International Apparel Federation (IAF) Ijaz Khokhar said, “Owing to Covid-19 all trade shows have been canceled which has moved marketing activities to digital exhibitions. We are hoping for an encouraging response and all our participants are curious to see the outcome of this experiment”.
Buyers from several countries will be connected to more than 15,000 buyers through the digital exhibition while engaging marketing and big brand buyers, start-up labels, sourcing managers, brand owners, designers and buying houses agents globally.
Companies are able to display all kinds of stuff in the digital expo like garments for children, women, and men and it offers Pakistan the opportunity to improve their export.
