At this year’s Toptal JavaScript Speed Coding Challenge, Pakistani developers showed their expertise in coding speeds by grabbing the most top 50 finishes from any region, in spite of having lesser competition participants than neighboring India.
The world’s top JavaScript coding competition, Toptal Speed Coding Challenge, includes a series of interesting challenges that competitors need to solve as quickly as possible in order to earn points.
Points awarding system is based on the density and the amount of time consumed in order to solve the task, meanwhile, extra points are also allocated for the time remaining upon early completion of the task.

Around 2,000 enthusiasts joined the JavaScript Speed Coding Challenge from 137 countries. As per data shared by Toptal, India had 251 JavaScript coders which are the most from any country. Followed by India, Pakistan was sitting at second spot with 128 developers. Moreover, developers coming from Nigeria were 88, Bangladesh with 82, Malaysia with 74 and then the US with 67.
However, there was only one nation that stood out when the competition started. With a total of five participants in the final leaderboard bagging the top 50 finishes, Pakistan won the glory of fielding the most Top 50 finishers of any country participating in the challenge.
With an outstanding total of 3494 points, MALLU was the top Pakistani developer with a fourth-place finish in the speed coding challenge.
For the second-highest number of top 50 finishes, Bangladesh, Brazil, and Serbia ended up tying, as each nation was represented by three participants in the top 50 finishers. Turkey, Malaysia, Nigeria, Sri Lanka and Croatia succeeded in securing two top 50 finishers.
