Build And Display

To begin with, the Viper P40 laptop has a reasonable 24mm chassis with a lightweight body weighing 1.7kg, which gives it a robust vibe due to the matte and rough texture.

When you open the lid, you’ll see a 14-inch HD (1920 x 1080) LCD display that covers a large chunk of the sRGB colour gamut, providing a nearly color-accurate experience.

The hinges are slightly loose, and the body creeks when squeezed forcefully, however the laptop has MIL certification, ensuring that it will last even in the most extreme situations.

When you’re in video mode, the 2MP webcam on the forehead has a grainy colour tone.

A mechanical keyboard with 2mm of key travel, but there’s no RGB illumination. Although the keyboard may not be ideal for typists, it ensures high productivity for office accountants and project managers completing reports.

The keyboard is paired with a large touchpad that features Microsoft’s precision drivers and enables a variety of gestures for navigating your daily tasks.

Internals of P40 laptop

For all laptops, Intel’s 10th Generation CoreTM i3-1005G1 Processor (up to 3.4GHz) is combined with 4GB/8GB DDR4 RAM. Aside from that, there is no dedicated GPU, which makes gaming a little more challenging.

There’s a 256GB SSD for storage, which seems a little low but should enough as a standard work laptop. Because there’s no GPU, it doesn’t feel like it was designed for hard jobs like playing video games or running simulations, but it performs similarly to an HP pavilion when it comes to everyday duties like watching movies, streaming, and running heavy software.

There are two USB 3.2 connectors and one USB 2.0 port for data transfer, which works well with older phones.

Battery, Price & Availability

Finally, the Viper P40 notebook is powered by a large 5,000mAh battery that can last up to 8 hours on a single charge. The Viper P40 is currently available in Pakistan for PKR 75,000 and comes with a 3-year guarantee for local consumers only.
