The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is going to build parks in I-14, I-16 sectors and Bhara Kahu with walking tracks and other healthy activities.
As per the CDA spokesperson, CDA will develop Bhara Kahu Park and new parks in I-14, I-16 sectors, the development work is going on in both sectors. Moreover, the extension of Lake View Park is also on cards.
He said parks would be established in Sector I-16/2 and I-14/1. The development in both sectors remained halted for a long time and current management of the civic agency in first phase started road infrastructure, drainage system and provided other facilities.

“Now it has been decided to provide parks and walking tracks so that residents would have healthy activities. Plantation has been started in the parks and flowers will also be planted to enhance the beauty of parks,” it said.
“Moreover it has been decided to install swings, build walkways and jogging tracks. There will be arrangements to keep parks clean,” the statement by CDA said.
The Bhara Kahu park has been planned in the national park area that would be constructed at forest number 8 on around 350 acres.. This park apart from other features will have an exclusive section for women and children.
According to the CDA, the park would also have a walking track, kids’ playing gadgets, exercise units, a water sports area, a mini-golf course and a forest area.
They said before the start of Bhara Kahu on Murree side, the CDA has over 350 acre forest land from Shahpur road stop to Bhara Kahu. They said this area would be utilised for the park.
