Bowl-shaped Piyala Lake located near the Indus River in southern Punjab to be made tourist site with boating area, walking track, gazebo, and some other recreational facilities
Punjab government will construct Piyala Lake, situated at Indus River nearby Ghazi Ghat area in outskirts of Dera Ghazi Khan City, stated by Deputy Manager Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) DG Khan Shiekh Ejaz.
While talking to the media, he said, the Bowl-shaped Lake, usually recognized as Piyala Lake, would be comprised of over 200 Kanal with a depth of 80 feet below the surface.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar allotted a special team, included archeologists, tourism experts, and officers of TDCP to conduct a survey and formulate a feasibility report for constructing the lake as the best entertaining place for native people.

Moreover, Shiekh Ejaz said a walking track, boating area, gazebo, and a number of other facilities would be added at Piyala Lake.
The lake has numerous distinctive features like its water turning blue in the winter season and green in the summer season. The additional facilities at the lake would also aid in enticing tourists from across the region.
Shiekh Ejaz also veiled that the lake was also a prevalent habitat of traveling birds.
Furthermore, the feasibility report will be given to Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar whereas Assistant Commissioner Naveel Ahmed will oversee the development work at the spot. Though, he would be aided by Mr. Saqib (Architect), Saifullah (tourism expert), and TDCP officer Ishar Iqbal and Aasim Raza.
