PM Imran Khan said that the objective of the reduction in prices of petrol and diesel was to give relief to the people therefore, all the Chief Secretaries must ensure this benefit to the common man.
According to Imran Khan, sub-standard food is destroying the health of the people. He said that such food is spoiling the health of the nation and no proper strategy was ever made to curtail food adulteration in the past.
The provision of pure food to the masses is the reflection of good governess so this issue must be prioritized. PM Imran Khan headed the meeting regarding the reduction of daily consumable items, where the Chief Secretaries of all provinces briefed the Prime Minister. The session was told that the permission of the interprovincial movement of wheat is giving good results however, more steps are yet to be taken to further reduce the flour price.
Fakhar Imam, Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Abdul Razzaq Daud, DR. Shahbaz Gill, and other senior officials attended the meeting. Provincial Chief Secretaries participated via video link. Another meeting to overview the development of the houses under the Naya Pakistan Housing scheme took place.
Prime Minister said that this is the mega project to boost up the economy of the country. All the related industries will flourish. The government is allocating Rs 30 billion for the project in the financial budget of 2020 so as to speed it up. The Prime Minister directed to finalize it after the consultation with the commercial banks
