Punjab to announce 25,000 new health sector jobs this year

Punjab Health Minister Yasmin Rashid has announced 25,000 jobs in addition to describing the usage of Sehat Cards that would be delivered to the whole population in Punjab by March 2022.

While briefing the media, Yasmin Rashid informed that people who do not have NIC would not be able to benefit the health facilities from Sehat Card however B form of their children will also be essential to safeguard health services for the whole family.

 “We have also developed an application named Naya Pakistan National Sehat Card from where details regarding the health facilities could be accessed easily,” she said tallying that 133 hospitals have been recorded to the list of health services alone from Lahore.

Moreover, the Health minister said that the website of the health card also conveys information about the process to obtain a health card.

“The health card will be provided to the head of the family and he will be bound to register his entire family to acquire health facilities for them,” she said and added that every district would have a special desk for Sehat card.

Yasmin Rashid insisted the family heads get themselves listed with Nadra to gain health insurance. She informed the media that a help desk had been set up in the offices of assistant commissioners (ACs) in every tehsil.

She further publicized that the health department of Punjab would reveal 25,000 new jobs in 2022 and more doctors would be employed by the private hospitals after 101 health services have listed themselves with the health section.

The health minister also asked the people to vaccinate themselves against COVID-19 adding that 51 percent of the Punjab population has been double-jabbed however 71 percent got their first dose.

Besides, she mourned that the people have been evading face masks just after a drop in COVID cases and advised that the Omicron variant is swelling internationally and it is effortlessly communicable than other variants.
