Qualcomm, the leader chipset manufacturer is stepping into the gaming phone market soon. According to the reports, a new gaming phone from Qualcomm could arrive at the end of 2020.
According to the DigiTimes, Qualcomm is joining with Asus to make their first gaming phone. Partnering with Asus is believed to be the best decision as the company has huge experience in the gaming world. The Asus Rog 3 is claimed to be the best gaming phone out in the market.

With Asus being involved, it is possible that the Qualcomm gaming smartphone will have the Republic of Gamers branding as well. It will most likely have a high refresh rate display, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, a large battery, and presumably shoulder buttons.
Qualcomm’s upcoming tech summit is scheduled to take place on December 1, and it is expected that Qualcomm’s first gaming phone will be unveiled in the event.
The Qualcomm’s gaming phone is possibly equipped with the Snapdragon 875 SoC as well since the newly developed flagship chip is also projected to be presented in the tech summit. According to some reports, there might be two versions of the gaming phones could be launched by the chipmaker.
At the moment there is no news regarding software, however, just like other smartphones, Qualcomm’s gaming phone could be having personalized Android skin which will be focusing on gaming.
Qualcomm has sent out press invites for an event on December 1 where it will reveal the “latest and greatest Snapdragon news”. It is expected to announce the Snapdragon 875 SoC through a virtual event and now, with the latest report on the gaming smartphone, the company may share details on it as well.
