This past week, the Classic Vespa Scooter community in Quetta orchestrated a remarkable rally, showcasing their love for the vintage vehicles as they cruised through the capital city of Balochistan.
The event was a vivid spectacle, earning extensive coverage from Arab News Pakistan. The report emphasized the group’s deep-rooted affection for their time-honored scooters, preserving the past with “diligence and devotion.”
Ejaz Ahmed, the community’s leader, extolled the virtues of the Vespa, saying:
“What sets Vespa scooters apart is their timeless appeal and exceptional performance. Regardless of how high-priced other motorcycles become, these scooters maintain their value. They boast excellent road handling and a smooth ride. Even after traveling hundreds of kilometers, you would feel as if you’ve been at the wheel of a car.”
According to the report, the community holds such rallies on a weekly basis, captivating spectators along their routes. Mansoor Ashraf, a seasoned scooter mechanic, praised the Vespa, citing its durability and comfort:
“These scooters are carriers of numerous memories. They are like ‘compact automobiles’. Unlike regular motorcycles, Vespas come with a spare wheel. So whether we are touring Quetta or journeying across Balochistan, we do so with utmost ease. These scooters can be owned for as little as Rs. 20,000 or as much as Rs. 1 million.”
